Job Summary
Key responsibilities include operating, accounting, and monitoring portfolios/funds under VCBF’s management.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities
1. FUND ACCOUNTING
- Booking/accounting and storing accounting documents for all funds/portfolios' transactions;
- Monitoring funds/portfolios' receivables/payables;
- Payments/Collect payments of expenses/income of funds/portfolios;
- Perform accounting activities, operation activities of funds/portfolios including: cash collection/payment, place/withdraw term deposits, securities settlement, redemption payments…;
- Prepare or coordinate with Fund Admin service providers to prepare the funds/portfolios' financial statements under relevant regulations;
- Valuation of securities and funds/portfolios;
- Other reports for the Company's internal management purpose;
- Support Investment Department in preparing, collecting the performance figures of Funds/Portfolios;
- Coordinate with Investment Department, Sales Department, and Other departments, as well as service providers in the process of launching new Funds/Portfolios and closing existing Funds/Portfolios (if any).
2. FUND UNIT TRANSACTION CONTROL
- Perform operation activities relating to Open-Ended Fund Transfer Agency’s system/Management of individual retirement account service provider’s system as well as VCBF’s online trading system (Etrade & other systems, if any):
- Perform above operation activities under the internal process requirements, comply with Fund Documents and relevant law regulations;
- Coordinate with Sales Department in the process of unit distributions;
- Coordinate with Distributors, Transfer Agency, Management of individual retirement account service provider, Custodian & Supervisory Banks to handle relevant matters during performing operation activities.
- Storing documents relating to Account Opening Agreement and Orders of Investors.
3. OTHERS
- Establishment, amendment of funds/portfolio valuation guidelines;
- Establishment, amendment of internal processes;
- Complement process between VCBF and service providers of funds/portfolios management;
- Propose for engagement of Custodian/Supervisory/Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Brokers, Management of individual retirement account service providers;
- Coordinate with other departments in preparing documents for new fund launching, IPO fund units…;
- Coordinate with other departments in composing, complementing, operating & managing trading systems & other systems;
- Other tasks under allocation of Head of Operations or Company Management.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Auditing.
- Minimum two years experience in relevant positions at credit institutions, fund management, or securities companies.
- Strong English & communication skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, e.g. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
- Efficiently manage allocated tasks and working time and have good communication skills.
- Careful, quick problem-solving, capability to work independently with a tight deadline.
